Welcome!
I'm boB McKay, and this is my 5th layout. First with Lionel, then deep into HO, I could not model fully the mighty PRR around Harrisburg. I am a "retired" Episcopal priest who has moved often, enjoying this hobby for 70 years. Everything here is N scale in a 24'x48' basement on three levels. I enjoy building and wiring. Soon
Soon I hope to have regular operating sessions. The layout is controlled by Digitrax and JMRI. Latest work is adding PRR signals

My layout is centered in Harrisburg, PA. It is a recreation of a one day trip there while in seminary. Friends and I were escorted through most all of the PRR's facilities in Harrisburg and Enola. I have enjoyed researching and building models of the structures, equipment and track that I remember. Several have received awards. I even spent a day as a leverman in the restored Harris tower. I want my guests to enjoy operating this extensive layout, either on site or someday using JMRI remotely.
Everything centers on Harrisburg, where PRR ended electrification. All trains change engines here. To the west, Rockville Bridge's 48 arches lead to the Marysville flyovers, Enola staging, and the Middle Division (staging). The Buffalo Main heads north at Rockville Jct. to two upper levels modeling Sunbury, Northumberland and 7 branch

At Middletown, Roy Jct. leads to the passenger main and Lancaster, while freight goes through Columbia (staging).
